Why is learning EQ skills so important today?

Helen Keller once said,"Blindness separates people from things, but deafness separates people from people."

For this reason and many others, people with hearing loss struggle with not only with their own emotional issues, but with the simple act of finding appropriate mental health services. From the review of literature on mental health and deafness -- most deaf people, often missed the "incidental learning" which teaches them to identify social cues and norms in the places they grew up in. We will teach the five areas of Emotional Intelligence (EQ):

The 5 areas of Emotional Intelligence:

1. Self-Awareness
2. Empathy
3. Motivation
4. Handling Emotions
5. Social Skills

We hope that you will join our classes to have a fun and exciting time while learning something new!
