Hi, my name is Catherine Yao and I am a 4th year medical student at UCSD. I am currently doing a research study on Cervical Cancer as a part of the ASL Cancer Education Program at the UCSD Moores Cancer Center. My study is to assess whether a video about Cervical Cancer, that is in ASL, voice, and captioning, is effective at communicating this information to Hearing and Deaf communities.
Participants will complete a pre-test, watch the educational video about cervical cancer, and complete a post-test, all of which will take about 1 hour. A light meal will be provided as a thanks for their time.
We are recruiting any hearing women over age 18, who are not in the medical field, to participate in the study.
