Patricia Sieglen-Perry

Executive Director

Patricia Sieglen-Perry has worked for over 23 years in the field of disability and has specialized in deafness for most of her career. Ms. Sieglen-Perry obtained a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from San Diego State University.

She was a counselor for the deaf and was selected as Executive Director at Deaf Community Services in San Diego where she incorporated the agency, established a deaf majority board of directors, expanded the services and scope of the non-profit for 13 years. Her expertise on the Americans with Disabilities Act and knowledge of other disability groups secured her a position with the City of San Diego as the Disability Services Coordinator. As such, Patricia wrote the City’s ADA transition and self-evaluation plans and remained there for 7 years.

Patricia has been working as a free-lance interpreter, a substitute ASL instructor at Grossmont Community College and as a trainer on deafness and disability issues. In addition, she has been a member of DCS’ Board of Directors for three years. She has resigned that position to become Interim Executive Director.

Patricia is proud to back at Deaf Community Services and is looking forward to working with the DCS’staff.
