DCS/EDD has qualified staff to assist Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing
people acquire the tools they need to obtain employment.
Services include assistance with resume preparation, application
processing, and job interview techniques. The DCS/EDD
staff also educate employers about deafness, the advantages
of
hiring Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing employees, and accommodations
that make jobs accessible for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing
employees.
Interpreting for job interviews and initial
job training is another of the many services provided
by DCS/EDD.
